In the 29 years between Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2, the popularity of the film had only grown and with the sequels release, Disney really pulled out all the stops to let everyone know that after all these years, the witches are back!

From posters and trailers, merchandise and photo ops, to cereal, cheese and even an Air B&B Sanderson Cottage. Disney were at the top of their game with the sequel promotion.

Here is a large collection of all of the promotional releases and events that Disney put together to make sure this film was a big success.

Unlike the original film, which received a small number of posters, Hocus Pocus 2 had plenty! All posters were released online with a small number of physical posters being made available via Disney Movie Rewards, to D23 members and were also given out at various screenings. 

Disney also released a new poster each week from October 2nd 2022. Each poster was created by a different artist and was used to promote the film post-release.

As Walgreens was featured in the grocery store scene of the film, stores received free posters to give away. Stores also displayed advertising signs that were attached to shelving.

Disney World gave away free trick or treat bags which featured a Hocus Pocus poster on the bag.

The official Hocus Pocus social pages were abuzz with all kinds of content leading up to the release of Hocus Pocus 2. Along with teasers, trailers and clips, they also shared fun images, quotes and more. This is just a handful of some of the posts shared.

A handful of Hocus Pocus branded merchandise was made available leading up to the release of the sequel. This included a Hair Gloss and Comb set from Hally. This set came in a Hocus Pocus 2 themed collectible box. 

Eight candles were released by Goose Creek candles. Each candle has unique artwork and a different scent. Goose Creek candles also appears in the film (during the Siri scene). 

Mooncat released a collectible Nail Polish set. The set included six different nail polishes inspired by the Sanderson Sisters. They also came housed inside a collectible box.

Colourpop released an entire Hocus Pocus make up collection which included Lip Gloss, Eye Shadow, Cat Ears and more! 

As the grocery store scene was filmed inside an actual Walgreens the company released an exclusive Hocus Pocus 2 poster which features the Sanderson Sisters flying over a Walgreens. This poster was given away free with all purchases of $10 or more and was available while supplies lasted.

A small number of promotional food products were released in partnership with the sequel. Babybel released Hocus Pocus Babybel's which featured different artwork on the packaging. A series of promotional images and videos were also posted to their social media pages. 

Kelloggs released 2 different Hocus Pocus 2 cereals. The first featured artwork of the Sanderson Sisters flying in front of a moon. The cereal was 'Berry Brew' flavour and was shaped like small stars. This particular cereal was available as a 218g standard box and also a 430g "Family size" box. 
The second version of this cereal was a limited edition Walmart exclusive release and this time the cereal was the same, however the box came in the form of the Spell Book. The front of the box also opened to reveal a spell on the inside left and the same artwork as the standard release, on the inside right. 

Although not technically food, Alfred Coffee released limited edition Hocus Pocus 2 Coffee Sleeves. These were given out with all coffee purchased from their store. The sleeves feature each Sanderson Sisters mouths, with a fourth design being a silhouette of the Sanderson Sisters.

Various magazines featured Hocus Pocus 2 on the lead up to it's release, with the biggest feature being the Fall issue of D23 Magazine. The D23 magazine featured the Sanderson Sisters on the front and back and contained a first look article inside, which included even more set pictures.

A special photo op experience was set up at Walt Disney World. The photo op featured a large image of the Sanderson Sisters Cottage, along with Salem Scare Fest Banners. Guests were invited to take photos and share over social media.

To celebrate the release of Hocus Pocus 2, Disney teamed up with Air B&B to recreate the Sanderson Sisters cottage. The cottage was located just outside of Salem and was available to book October 12th 2022. Only one booking was available and sold within seconds of going on sale.

A special Hocus Pocus 2 photo op was set up in four different locations across Canada. This set up featured a cauldron, spell book and various other props that people could take photographs with and share on social media.

Disney hosted a two night Hallowstream even at the Hollywood Forever cemetery in Los Angeles, California. 

During this two night event guests could take photographs of props that had been set up, dress up as the Sanderson Sisters and also watch Hocus Pocus 2 on the big screen.

Another photo op was set up at Disneyland California for guests to take photographs with and share on social media. 

This particular photo op also lit up and featured the Sanderson Sisters flying in front of a large moon.

To celebrate the release of Hocus Pocus 2, D23 members were able to purchase tickets for a special event in Salem.

D23 Runs Amuck In Salem included a special screening of Hocus Pocus 2 and a party at The Black Flame Ball, with Doug Jones as a guest!

Attendees also received a special Hocus Pocus themed map of Salem and goodie bag, which included a Black Flame Ball themed water bottle, Hocus Pocus cookbook, exclusive pin, pumpkin carving stencils and more!

To promote the release of Hocus Pocus 2, Lovesac teamed up with Disney to offer an exclusive Hocus Pocus 2 Footsac with all StealthTech orders.

A giveaway also offered one winner "Ultimate Movie Night Setup Featuring Sactionals with Stealthtech Sound + Charge, for you and your witches"

Multiple Trailers, Teasers and TV Spots were released leading up to the release of Hocus Pocus 2, with the first teaser being released June 28th 2022. 
On June 29th another video was released and this time we see Bette, Kathy and Sarah watching and reacting to the first teaser trailer. 
The full trailer was released months later (and only weeks before the films release) on September 9th 2022. 
The first clip from the sequel was released only 5 days later on September 14th, with the second clip being released September 28th and the third clip the following day on September 29th. 
Within less than 2 weeks to go, more videos were being shared online via the official Hocus Pocus and Disney social channels. On September 20th a video featuring Bette, Kathy and Sarah was released and in this video they share ten reasons as to why you should watch Hocus Pocus 2. 

Entertainment weekly also shared an exclusive behind the scenes look at Hocus Pocus on September 21st. The video features interviews and additional footage of the sequel. 

Nine days later on September 9th, another video was released which this time featured interviews with Bette, Kathy and Sarah, along with Director Anne Fletcher and Producer Lynn Harris. The video discusses the legacy of Hocus Pocus and also features clips from fans around the world.  Good Morning America also shared a new video online where they interview Bette, Kathy and Sarah. 
A new trailer titled "They're Back!" was released the same day as the films release and another short trailer was released 2 days later on October 2nd. Many more clips, teasers and even bloopers were also released across social media.
