We're only at the very beginning of the January, but our first new Hocus Pocus release is officially here and what a release to kick off the new year!

Department 56 have revealed two new releases that will be available later this year. The first is a a set of three hanging ornaments of the Sanderson Sisters on their flying devices and the second is one product I had hoped D56 would have released and it's the Ropes Mansion aka Allison's House!!

On Modern Brooms is the name for the three new flying Sanderson Sisters that will be released this June.

The set includes Mary, Sarah and Winifred and each one is hanging from a metal support, which is also attached to a grassy base. One thing I especially love about this release, is that the flying devices are from Hocus Pocus 2. It doesn't seem like we've been treated to much merchandise from the sequel, so to see Sarah on a Swiffer and Mary on a Shark, just makes these even more fun!

Allison's House has been on my list of 'wants' from Department 56 ever since they released the Dennison House last year. 

The new release features Allison's home covered and surrounded by Autumnal leaves and a sweet autumnal wreath on the door too. Although it doesn't specifically state it's included, it does appear that the house also comes with a light (as the previous Sanderson Cottage and Dennison House did too), which will make this house look even cosier when lit up.

On Candy Duty is another new release for this year and this time we're getting Allison! 

Dressed in her iconic Halloween costume, Allison is standing in front of a cauldron full of candy, ready to hand Dani a chocolate witch lolly.

Last October (2024) Department 56 revealed that two new additions were being added to their Hocus Pocus line and these were Max's House in Salem (or the Dennison House as I prefer to call it) and Max And Dani Trick or Treating and finally they're here!

The house is a fantastic piece to their Hocus Pocus line and a must for any fan of the films or even of Salem, due to how popular this location is (thanks to the original film) and the addition of Max and Dani is a really nice touch. 

With that being said this isn't a perfect release, so let's get into it.

This house is a thing of beauty, the little pumpkins outside and all of the autumnal leaves that are dotted around the house and on the roof really give it a nice cosy appearance. The tree to the left and the attachable weathervane are a really nice touch too and overall, this house is a must for any Hocus Pocus fan. 

As soon as the included light is attached and turned on, it immediately gets you wondering what the Dennison's might be up to inside, are they carving pumpkins, planning their Halloween costumes or is Dani just winding Max up again? 

It's not 100% accurate, compared to the real house in Salem, but as miniature models go this is possibly the best we're going to get. The house also measures 7.83 inches high and 8.3 inches wide, so a great size and it doesn't take up too much space at all. 

​With that being said, this is definitely not a perfect release from Department 56 and I say this because of two things.  

Moving over to the Max and Dani Trick or Treating ornament, I honestly cannot fault it. It measures approximately 3.5 inches high and features Max and Dani holding hands, Dani with her pumpkin pail and Max with a Trick or Treat bag. 

Although they don't look exactly like their real life characters, I do really like how they look and the paint job is nice too. Dani is definitely my favourite of the two and her little hat is adorable. Max and Dani are priced at $45.

Overall I would definitely recommend these to any fan of Hocus Pocus and to anyone who has already got the Sanderson Sisters and their cottage too, together they look amazing and I hope we see even more Hocus Pocus releases from Department 56 in the very near future.

This includes new collectibles and Funko Pops!

Let's take a look at what you'll be able to get your hands on this year.

Jim Shore will be releasing a new collectible ornament to their Hocus Pocus line this May. 

The new ornament features the Sanderson Sisters flying over gravestones (assumed to be Old Burial Hill) with Binx keeping a watchful eye below. 

This new release joins their previously released ornament of the Sanderson Sisters around a cauldron. 

Priced at $120 and available May 17th 2025 internationally. 

After what feels like 300 years, Max and Allison are finally getting the Funko Pop! treatment. 

Allison is wearing her iconic cardigan, while also holding salt for protection. She's joined by a mini Binx too, while Max is dressed as a Little Leaguer.

Both Funko's are due for release this May and are priced at $15 each. Although it appears no release date has been revealed for a release outside of the USA, these should be available from Funko Europe this year too. 

And finally Department 56 are adding two new releases to last years Hocus Pocus line. 

You'll be able to pick up the Dennison House ornament, which also includes a light for you to light up the windows of their home. Joining this release will be a Max and Dani ornament too. This ornament features the pair trick or treating on Halloween night. 

The Dennison House is priced at $240 and Max and Dani will be $45. Both are due for release this June.
