When Hocus Pocus went into production, the script had a very different storyline that included Candy Crows, a scene in a grocery store and more! Over the years, fans have begged Disney to release these scenes and although it does appear that the main scenes the fans want to see have been lost, Disney did release a handful of smaller scenes which were included in the 25th Anniversary Blu Ray release.
It's also rumoured that a Pay-per view release that was shown on TV in 1994 included all of these deleted scenes, but sadly this rumour has never been verified and as of yet, any potential recording of this release has failed to materialise. With that being said, let's take a look at some of the scenes we know exist that have never been released, a breakdown of the scenes included and mentioned in the 25th Blu-Ray release and also scenes mentioned in two scripts from the film.
Surprisingly there are quite a lot of deleted scenes for Hocus Pocus and although Disney did release a handful of them for the 25th anniversary, the main deleted scenes the fans want to see are the swimming pool scene, grocery store scene and the although not a scene itself, the entire Candy Crow storyline. These have never been released but more details can be found in the original scripts, with small clips also featured in some of the original trailers and tv spots.

The swimming pool scene features the Sanderson Sisters breaking into the school and entering the swimming pool. Winifred leans down towards the water and Mary and Sarah push her in. When Wini climbs out of the pool, she's dripping wet and using a little magic (off screen) to dry herself out. Mary and Sarah end up a little fried in the process.
They also enter the boys locker room, look into lockers and eventually enter the hallways where the kids use traps against the Sanderson Sisters, including throwing a large amount of tennis balls down the stairs as the Sanderson Sisters make their approach.

The original script for Hocus Pocus featured an entire Candy Crow storyline, which was also the original way the Sanderson Sisters tricked children in the 1600s, with candy! On the night of their return the Sanderson Sisters decide to once again make Candy Crows and enter a grocery store. Sarah sits in a shopping cart while being pushed around, Mary eats baby oil, thinking it's oil from a baby and they also steal a grill. At one point Mary attempts to also kidnap a baby that is sitting in a woman's shopping cart.
The Candy Crow storyline is an entirely different storyline to what we see on screen. Originally the Sanderson Sisters used Candy Crows to lure children to their home, the crows were enchanted and would render the children into a zombie-like state. In the original script the Sanderson Sister do just that, with Emily at the beginning of the film as Thackery wakes up to find Emily missing and a half eaten Candy Crow in her bed. In 1993, the sisters once again use these Candy Crows to lure the children to their home and in various trailers and tv spots you can actually see small clips of the witches handing out this candy. This storyline was also present in the original novel that was released alongside the film, but when the film was eventually released, all scenes that involved this storyline were cut entirely. If they were ever found and included in a new re-release it would be like having two very different versions of the same film.
