Hocus Pocus was filmed on large sound stages, at the Warner Bros backlot and also on location in Salem, Ma.
The Sanderson Sisters Cottage was built on a large sound stage and it was as real a house as it possibly could be.
Due to many of the locations in the film being Salem, Ma, the Witch City has become a popular tourist attraction for fans of the film, with close to 1 million visitors throughout the month of October (as reported in 2022).
Below is a large collection of behind the scenes pictures, storyboards, props and more.

The final script for Hocus Pocus featured a peach front and back, however the earlier script, titled The Halloween House was housed in a black book. The first script image below is Bette Midlers very own script.
Many of the Hocus Pocus props were either destroyed, sold or are still housed at the Disney Archives. Below you'll find a bunch of props that have been shared by Disney or have been listed on various auction websites. There's even a chair back for producer Bonnie Bruckenheimer.
When the film wrapped many of the cast and crew were given gifts, these included a purple and black Nike jacket featuring the three witches on the back (note how one is flying a vacuum). A thank you note was also given out, along with a purple cap.
Sadly there isn't many making of or behind the scenes videos for Hocus Pocus. Luckily the videos that do exist can be found below.
